India’s Mose Valley encircles Lavasa, an environmentally sensitive master-planned development designed to preserve natural land contours and accommodate severe monsoons. Five towns are planned for Lavasa, with the northernmost one being Dasve Village. Inspired by European and Goan influences, Dasve Village utilizes an architecturally eclectic style and focuses on integrating an educational presence throughout the town. Two new university campuses offer a range of facilities with both civic and campus functions, including auditoriums, arenas and sports facilities – while Dasve’s town center creates both literal and figurative connections between the universities and the surrounding community.
