The official groundbreaking ceremony for one of our U.S. projects, The Corners of Brookfield, took place earlier this month. In addition to architectural and planning services, DDG is providing identity and environmental graphics services for the development, which will become a true regional mixed-use destination featuring 400,000 square feet of upscale retail, restaurant, and entertainment space and 235 luxury apartments.
To be anchored by a Von Maur department store, The Corners of Brookfield will also include an exciting mix of men’s, women’s, and children’s fashion and accessories, home goods, grocery, and specialty retailers. In addition, the topography of the site set the stage for an inspired design solution – a one-level, below-grade parking deck with spaces for nearly 2,000 vehicles.
The Corners of Brookfield will also feature a central urban park, providing a setting that goes beyond retail and recreation to cultural events, community activities, and celebrations. The Corners’ avenues link to a network of public parks and green spaces, transforming pedestrian corridors into linear parks and plazas, and reinforcing the project’s strong literal and figurative connections to the surrounding community.
We’re excited to add The Corners of Brookfield to the DDG portfolio!
