Our own Ahsin Rasheed is in Moscow this week, participating in two panel discussions sponsored by the Russian Green Building Council (RuGBC) as part of MosBuild 2015, the largest international exhibition of building, finishing, and decorating materials in Russia.
Ahsin discussed the advantages of putting retail at the heart of new communities as part of a RuGBC panel on Green Retail Centers. He then lead a presentation on sustainable retail districts, including new developments such as Jakarta’s Ancol Marine City and improved energy efficiency in existing facilities, as part of the 2030 ECO Districts panel.
DDG has been active in the RuGBC since mid-2014 and will soon begin work on its first major project in Russia. The Armada Capital Orenburg is envisioned as a middle-to-upper income shopping mall, with plans for construction in an existing vacant structure in Orenburg, southeast of Moscow.
