Private Residence
Severna Park, Maryland, USA
The landscape plan for this 1.5-acre waterfront plot overlooking Sullivan’s Cove on the Severn River just outside of Annapolis transforms the untouched grounds around the circa 1906 residence, presenting a layout that emphasizes flowing lines, features abundant natural elements and reflects the spirit and character of the Chesapeake Bay region. Challenging site constraints impacted the design choices. The property sits in a buffer zone of the Chesapeake Bay watershed identified as “extremely critical,” and environmental sensitivity is a defining feature of the final plan.
