Menlyn Park’s most distinctive feature is the tensile fabric roof covering its Grand Hall. The tent-like roof inspired the Menlyn Park logo, whose overlapping tent wings also form an abstract “M” for “Menlyn.” The wing shape recurs throughout the center, found in stretched fabric panels, distinctive lighting fixtures and banners. Menlyn Park’s architecture creates themed identities for each of its halls, and graphic elements reinforce those themes. Feature planet-and-star graphics and fiber optic-accented constellations in a turquoise sky mark the Celestial Hall. A planet-and-star motif is also found in the hall’s etched glass railing panels and in a spherical sundial sculpture. Suspended fabric wing shapes take flight in the Aviary Hall.
